Steamship Adelaide
I, George C Nicholson Master of the Adelaide do solemnly, sincerely and truly (omitted) that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said vessel at Galway from which port said Adelaide has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

No deaths were recorded on the voyage and this column has been omitted from the transcription.

The transcription preserves the original spelling. In many instances, passenger Destinations
appear to have been written as they might sound, and many Destinations are simply
misspelled.
The manifest scribe did not number the passengers; the numbers have been added by the
transcriber to aid with referencing.
All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words
indicated.
The manifest scribe used brackets to indicate Space Occupied for each class of passengers;
the Space Occupied has been written in full for each passenger on the transcription.
