Transcriber's Notes:
The total passenger count on this ship is 254 passengers.
* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not the transcriber,
or is used to call your attention to additional information in the transcriber's notes.
? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to
the condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.
^ A ^ followed by a letter indicates that the letter was superscripted.
* Names were transcribed as seen regardless of spelling.
* None died on the voyage, therefore this coloumn was eliminated.
* This manifest was very hard to read. The n and u looked the same most of the time,
e and c as well.
For some reason the first names where not given for a lot of passengers. These names
are indented as seen on the manifest. A fair number of passengers in first class have
M in front of the name. Most likely this is not the first name but an abbreviation
for Monsieur (Mr.) and Madame (Mrs). Another oddity is the lack of names for families
travelling together. No ages are given. If a gender and an occupation is given, one
can possibly assume that this pertains to the head of the household.
1: Surname is hard to read since the letters are very small, it might be
Manternach or Mont??irad. M most probably stands for Monsieur.
7: the last name could be Nivert.
25: last name could be Laune.
26: Names may be Laur Grinston.
28 - 31: Surnames may be Daykin or Dayken.
32: last name could be Troe, Froe or Frae.
36: the missing letter could be n or r for Wencerlas or Wencenlas.
37: Surname may be Vapet.
40: the last name could be Lichtig.
42: the last name could be Prolut.
43 - 54: these passengers are most likely nuns.
49: Adele has an accent on the 1st e.
50: Names may be Alage De St Damingeon.
52: the last e in the last name has an accent.
55 - 62: Surnames may be Bisson.
68: Surname and age numbers unreadable due to fold in manifest.
The last letter of the surname could be p, g or f.
75: the o of the last name has an accent.
77: it is not clear if there is a letter between the a and the i, it could be n.
78: Surname may be Louier.
87: Surname may be Hause or Haurer.
90: Surname may be Buse or Bure.
92: Surname may be Woehrel.
95: the last name could be Bruneetter.
96: due a tear in the page the age is hard to read, could be 36.
97: the last name could be Nagel.
100: the last name coud be Riehart.
105: Surname may be Challener.
110: there is an accent on the last e of the last name.
118 & 119: Surnames may be Hewey.
124: the last name is partially hidden underneath the crease, it could be Keller
or Reller.
126: Given name may be Michel.
129 & 130: the last name could be Madersi.
144: the first name could be Godfreed.
149 & 150: Surname may be Grubaguann.
176 & 177: Ages can't be read due to fold in manifest.
177: Letters in surname obscured by fold in manifest.
187: accent on last e.
194: the last name could be Stein.
196: no last name is given. There are also no ditto marks to show that
this passenger has the same last name as the passenger above.
