Liverpool, England to New York

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, George S. Hill Master of the Ship Orient do solemnly, sincerely and truly sear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship at Liverpool from which port said Ship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

List or Manifest OF ALL THE PASSENGERS taken on board the Ship Orient whereof Hill is Master, from Liverpool burthen 1560 64/95 tons.
Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, The country to which they severally belong, The country to which they intend to become inhabitants, Died on the Voyage, and Part of the Vessel occupied by each passenger during the voyage. The Country of Origin for all passengers was recorded as "Gt. Britian"*, the Destination for all passengers was recorded as "United States", and no deaths were recorded on the voyage; these columns have been omitted from the transcription.

The manifest scribe numbered the passengers.

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words 
indicated.

The manifest scribe used vertical lines probably to indicate continuation/duplication of 
the last written word(s).

* Country of Origin as written.

24 3rd and 4th letters of surname not clear because of lower 
   extension of letters 'ty' in surname above and ink blots; could be Parkins.
25 2nd number of Age illegible because of ink blot.
30 3rd letter of surname not clear, could be Richardson or Rishardson.
35 5th/6th letters of surname illegible because of ink blot, 5th letter 
   could be 'l'.
