Ship Lady Franklin

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, Joseph Jordan Master of the Lady Franklin do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said ship at L'pool from which port said ship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

List or Manifest OF ALL THE PASSENGERS taken on board the Lady Franklin whereof J Jordan is Master, from L pool burthen 1218 93/95 tons.
Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, The country to which they severally belong, The country to which they intend to become inhabitants, Died on the Voyage, and Part of the Vessel occupied by each passenger during the voyage. The Country of Origin for all passengers was recorded as "Great Britain"; the Destination for all passengers was recorded as "United States"; the Space Occupied for all passengers was recorded as "2^nd Cabin; these columns have been omitted from the transcription.

The handwriting of this manifest was poor; additional research should be undertaken
to confirm findings.

The manifest scribe did not number the passengers; the numbers have been added
by the transcriber to aid with referencing.

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words
indicated.

 5-7 Surname for psgr 5 clearly written as Daves, surname for psgrs 6-7
     clearly written as Davis; could be family traveling together; surname
     Daves or Davis for all.
 9 Occupation as written.
16 Occupation overwritten, illegible.
21 Surname could be Gorvey or Gorvay.
23 2nd & 5th letters of surname illegible.
24 2nd letter of surname illegible.
27 Occupation omitted.
