Transcriber's Notes:

* is for error by the original recorder or to note other information on the copy added to
   the transcriber's notes.
? Transcriber unable to read due to the quality of the copy, letters are too small, written
   over or elaborate writing.

This Manifest indicates the ship left Genova on 2 April, Naples on 3 April, and Palermo on 4
April. This page has Naples stamped on the sailing from line. The number 55 is stamped on the
top and bottom of the given name column and the number 206 is written on the top left of the
page. The port of departure of this page is stamped Naples. The name of the Inspector, Jaema
or Jelma West, is clearly written in the center of the bottom of the page.

Recorders often used ditto marks for columns from the first line. This recorder used dittos
from the first passenger, 1113 for most Gender, Marital Status, Occupations, and all Nationality,
Race and country of last residence, unless other wise stated. This transcriber has replaced
them with the information referred to. This recorder wrote the gender as m for masculine and
f for feminine, and marital status as M for married, S for single, and farmlab for farm laborer.
Transcriber has typed these as they are on this manuscript. On line 16, or passenger 1128, the
Occupation was written as Lab or Laborer, with ditto lines to line 29 or Passenger 1141. It is
not clear weather the passengers occupations afterwards are Farm Laborers or Laborers. It looks
like the information from line 17 or passenger 1129, was written by another hand, it seems that
two distinctly different writing scripts. Most towns of the passengers Last Residence column
have dittos, with a few exceptions. Some of these cities may be a small section of a larger
city or a town outside it, and may not be found in the Atlas. All Final Destination for the
passengers on this page are to Canada. A swirled line like a large curved Z is drawn in the
destination columns extending from passenger 1114 to 120, headed for Toronto. Another curved
Z line extends from 1122 to 1142, and some of these passengers are headed for other Canadian
towns. Several capitol letters do not seem to be written the same way twice by either of these
recorders. The first half of this page is fairly easy to read, the rest is not. Many numbers
numbers written are hard to decipher and will be noted in the passengers information. The first
recorder seems to connect his numbers together as if they are written script.

Passenger 1121 on this page is lined out. This usually means that the passenger was not on
this ship. They do not have a check before their surnames, between age and gender, or Final
Destination as all other passengers do. The information given here is visible either below,
above, or through these lines, especially the nearest relative data. Before the printed line
numbers, other numbers were written on this page. They begin on line 1, with the number 173,
and end with 202. The number of passengers making this trip is written below the Nationality
column. At the bottom of the last residences column is written 29 T. This transcriber does not
know what the T refers to. Of 30 passengers written on these pages, 29 made this passage.

The Italian language has no letter j, k, or w, x, or y. The letter h is only used with ch or
  gh.

The passenger listing above is only one page of this manifest. Both may be seen on the Ellis
  Island Web Site.

1143 Petricea, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 173. After the given
name is a zero, with a diagonal line through it. Transcriber does not know what this means.
At the end of the line is stamped NON IMM for Non Immigrant.
1144 Alati, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 174. Age looks more like
OL than a number, but it is how this recorder wrote his numbers. 1115 Evangelesta, before
the printed line number is another hand written one, 175. Surname ending is not clear, it
looks like Evangelisto, but maybe Evandelido. Age looks more like n2 or h2, but is similar
to how this recorder wrote his 4 in the numbers column. Given name of wife, second s is
written as an f, a common custom of the era.
1146 Faba, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 176. Age looks more like
C8 than a number, but it is how this recorder wrote the number 1. Able to read and write
has a ditto mark. Nearest relative, looks like parento or parents, though may begin with
an f, and the letters after the a look more like u u. The name, middle letters are not very
clear. and looks like Drento or Dreuto, no similar name was found. It maybe a surname and
has been noted as such in the surnames for this page. If it is, it is only one of two
     surnames given on this page.
1147 Capuccetti, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 177. Name of wife
looks like Rectituta or Redituta. Nothing similar was found as a given name. It maybe her
surname, a common custom for wives to use their maiden names in this era, and has been
noted as such in the surnames for this page.
1148 De Cuan?is, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 178. Surname letters
are not clear, the tall letter does not look crossed, nor is it open as this recorder wrote
an l. It maybe Cuanlis, or Cuantis. As Italian names end in a vowel the last letter is maybe
an o, but this does not look like the o written by this recorder at the end of the names.
And his t does not seem to have always been crossed. Given name of mother is not clear. The
middle letters look like, u or e written several times. There are no Italian female names
found, that begin with the letter V followed by all lower letters. Transcriber will not
guess what it may be. Name of wife looks more like Filomeen than Filomena, but since Italian
names and words always ends in a vowel, there is no such name.
1149 Pet?ozzi, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 179. Surname is not
clear, letter looks like an h, but is crossed like a t. It is most unlikely to be an h, as
the letter h is used rarely in Italian, usually after a c or g, never alone. If it is a t,
the surname would be Petrozzi or Petiozzi.
1150 Lo??ba?dozzi, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 180. Surname
letters are not clear, it looks more like Lornbaedozzi, but is more likely to be Lombardozzi.
Given name looks like Enndio, Enudio, Emidio is the only similar names found. Age first digit
looks like an unclosed O and the second like an oversized C, but it is similar to other
numbers by this recorder, so is most likely 17. Nearest relative is written as said above
parenti, not as parent or a specific family member. At the end of the line is stamped NON
     IMM for Non Immigrant.
1151 Di Z?a?e, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 181. Passenger is
crossed out by a line, part of which is thick and some is thiner. This usually means that
the passenger was not on this ship. The surname, given name and city of last residence is
difficult to read. What can be is either above or below the line. Surname begins clearly
as Di, but most of the rest is blocked by the line. It looks like Di Zare or Di Zase. Given
name is a bit clearer, it looks like Secho, but no such name was found. The closest to what
the lettering looks like is Sesto, a derivative of Sextus. Last residence of passenger is
somewhat clearer than that of father, but not still not very clear. Only ones similar to
lettering are Merano, Messina, and Mincio. The latter may just be a river, as the atlas
shows riv. after the word. Destination maybe Montreal, as the letter heights look similar
to another one on the page.
1152 Palullo, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 182. Surname looks
clear, but maybe Patullo, as this recorder did not cross every t. Given name looks like
Egidio,a derivative of Aegidius or Giles. The bottom of the g written over the first letter
of the next passenger. Last residence of passenger and wife have ditto marks from 1121, who
was crossed out. First letter of name of wife looks like an R, only similar one found is
Benedetta. At the end of the line is stamped NON IMM for Non Immigrant.
1153 Palullo, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 183. Surname looks
clear, but maybe Patullo, as this recorder did not cross every t. Age, second digit looks
like a p or a backwards 9, than a number. The only other numbers like it, are before the
line numbers, so age would be 35. Last residence of passenger and wife have ditto marks
from 1121, who was crossed out. Destination looks like Feruce or Fernce, only similar one
found is Ferme, but with a second word of Neuve in Quebec.
1154 Varriacio, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 184. Copy is poor,
and script of recorder is not clear, surname maybe Varriano. Age looks more like C8 than a
number, but like others by this recorder, age is most likely 18. Last residence of passenger
and father have ditto marks from 1121, who was crossed out.
1155 Ruscetto, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 185. Copy is poor, and
script of recorder is not clear, surname maybe Ruscetlo as the second letter is not crossed.
Age looks more like V7 or O7 than an number like others by this recorder, but it is most
likely 17. Last residence of passenger and father have ditto marks from 1121, who was
     crossed out.
1156 Manno, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 186. Age looks more like
C8 or L8 than an number, like others by this recorder. Last residence of passenger and of
father have ditto marks from 1121, crossed out with a thick line.
1157 ?a???tta, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 187. Surname is not
clear, first letter looks like a J, which is not in the Italian alphabet. So it maybe a T,
as Tannetta or Tannetla. The letter is not like on the page by this recorder. The middle
letters look like u u, but are similar to how this recorder wrote his n. Given name of
father looks like Aureleo or Anreleo, nothing similar was found. Last residence of passenger
and father have ditto marks from 1121, crossed out with a thick line.
1158 Romano, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 188. Surname letters
are not clear, it maybe Romonio. Given name first letter looks nothing like any written by
this recorder. It looks like ?iarvnio or ?iazvnio, nothing similar was found. Occupation
was written in as Lab or Laborer, while those before are written as farm laborers. Given
name of wife maybe Filomena, but as written by recorder it looks like Filomes, Filomea, or
Filomn, none of which are Italian names. Last residence of passenger and wife have ditto
marks from 1121, who was crossed out with a thick line.
1159 Roni, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 189. Writing of this
second recorder is not clear. Surname maybe Rossi, or Boni or Bossi. Age maybe 20 or 30.
Occupation has ditto marks, that maybe from passenger first passenger, 1113 as Farm Lab or
1128 as Lab. Last residence looks clearer for father than for passenger. Passenger looks
like Fasm or Farm and for father looks like Fara or Fasa, but only similar one found is
     Fano.
1160 Cozzo?elli, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 190. Surname by
this second recorder is not clear. Surname maybe Cozzolelli, Cozzotelli, though the middle
letter is not crossed. Age looks like either 39 or 29. Marital Status is probably M for
married, but it looks more like ch, for child, but there are two digits, and no months
written, as is usually done for children. Occupation has ditto marks that maybe from first
passenger 1113 as Farm Lab, or 1128 as Lab. Last residence of passenger and wife has ditto
marks from 1129, only similar one found is Fano. Name of wife looks like Villa, only
     similar one found Viola.
1161 Massari, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 191. Surname was
written over it, by another hand to clarify it. Age maybe 25 or 26. A check mark covers the
Marital status, which is most likely S for single. Occupation has ditto marks, that maybe
from passenger first passenger, 1113 as Farm Lab or 1128 as Lab. Last residence of passenger
and father has ditto marks from 1129, only similar one found is Fano. Given name of father
is not clear, the letters are written very close together and are small. The first letter
     could be a D, O or R. The next looks like a k or t, the next could be n, ss, m, or a
combination of these. Nothing similar was found with any combination of these letters,
ending in io. It maybe a nickname, this transcriber will not guess what it may be.
1162 Lazzari, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 192. Occupation has
ditto marks, that maybe from passenger first passenger, 1113 as Farm Lab or 1128 as Lab.
Last residence of passenger and wife has ditto marks from 1129, only similar one found is
     Fano.
1163 Tittoni, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 193. The letter T is
printed by another hand, before the first letter of the surname to clarify it. Occupation
has ditto marks, that maybe from passenger first passenger, 1113 as Farm Lab, or 1128 as
Lab. Last residence of passenger and wife has ditto marks from 1129, only similar one found
is Fano. Given name of wife, first letter is not clear, looks like the E of this recorder.
The next letters look like rucia, or rmi?a. Nothing similar to Erucia was found. Only two
similar ones found are Ermina and Enrica. Latter is not likely, as the second letter does
     look like an r.
1164 Negri, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 194. Surname is not clear
and maybe Negni Given name is not clear either, letters are small and close together, it
looks like Gaentenlio or Gaententio. Nothing similar to either was found, closes to it is
Gaetano which is too short, it maybe a nickname. Age maybe 26 or 25. Occupation has ditto
marks, that maybe from first passenger, 1113 as Farm Lab, or 1128 as Lab. Last residence of
passenger and of wife are not clear. The letters appear different for both, it looks like
Mostopoli. Only similar one found, that fits the small and tall letters, is Monopoli. Name
of wife is not clear either, first letter looks like a P but the rest looks like ??fia or
??pi or ??pa. Nothing similar found with first letter P. The closest name found is Sofia.
It maybe her nickname, as the first letter looks more like P than an S.
1165 Menichini, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 195. Given name looks
more like Domemio, because the dot for the i is over the next to the last letter. But there
is no such name in Italian, the only one close is Dominico. Age second digit looks like it
maybe 28, from other numbers written by this recorder, but maybe 20. Occupation has ditto
marks, that maybe from first passenger, 1113 as Farm Lab or 1128 as Lab. Given name for
father, letters are small and close together. Last residence of father is written more
clearly than for the passenger as Fara, but no such city or town was found in the atlas.
1166 Vira?i, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 196. Surname letter
are not very clear, maybe Virani, Virari, or Virasi. Occupation has ditto marks, that maybe
from first passenger, 1113 as Farm Lab or 1128 as Lab. Last residence has ditto marks from
     1135.
1167 Penni, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 197. Surname first
letter looks like a P, but in another name it maybe an S, surname maybe Senni. Age looks
like 22, but it is written small and scratchy. Occupation has ditto marks, that maybe from
first passenger, 1113 as Farm Lab or 1128 as Lab. Last residence has ditto marks from 1135.
Given name of wife looks like Adelina, the only similar one found that seems to fit the
     height of the letters.
1168 Brunio?i, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 198. Surname letter
is not clear, it maybe an r or s, as Bruniori or Bruniodi. Given name first letter is not
like any other by this recorder. It looks somewhat like a small b, with the a coming off
the middle of it It looks to end in anro or anio, Nothing similar was found with any of
these. Age looks more like a 0 not closed, or a backwards c than a number, it maybe a 2.
No number by this recorder looks similar. Occupation has ditto marks, that maybe from first
passenger, 1113 as Farm Lab or 1128 as Lab. Last residence has ditto marks from 1135. Given
name of wife letters are close together and difficult to read. It looks like it may begin
with a Z as Zufentore, Zupesslore, or an I as in Infentore or Inpenlore. None of these
would be an Italian name, especially not for a woman. Nothing even close was found.
1169 ?un?e???o?i, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 199. Surname, last
letters are written over by another hand, to clarify it, which it does not. The letters are
small and very hard to read. It may begin with a Q or a Z, but the letter is nothing like
any others by this recorder. The first letters look like Zun, f or p, or Ques, f or p,
then ea. Here it is written over the original script, and it could be tov?i, tosri, or
lozri. But none of it is clear, so transcriber will not guess what this last part may be.
Surname maybe Quespea??o?i, Qunpea??o?i, Zunpea??o?i, or Zuespea??o?i. The given name is
not clear either but looks like Giovanni. Only the given name of the wife is clear.
Occupation has ditto marks, that maybe from first passenger, 1113 as Farm Lab or 1128 as
Lab. Last residence has ditto marks from 1135.
1170 Accarelli, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 200. Age maybe 25 or
26, as this recorder wrote these numbers the same way. Occupation has ditto marks, that may
be from first passenger, 1113 as Farm Lab or 1128 as Lab. Given name of father, first letter
is not clear, but looks like a D, but maybe a P, R, or S as these letters look similar for
this recorder. Only similar name found is Danilo, nothing similar found beginning with R or
     S. Last residence has ditto marks from 1135.
1171 Massari, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 201. Age could be 35
or 36, Occupation has ditto marks, that maybe from passenger first passenger, 1113 as Farm
Lab or 1128 as Lab. Last residence has ditto marks from 1135. Name of wife looks like Luni,
there is no such name in Italian, nor do feminine names end in i. The dot above the last
letter maybe a spot on the film copy. The only names similar to the letters, are Lena or
     Luisa.
1172 Patullo, before the printed line number is another hand written one, 202. Last residence is
not clear. For the passenger it looks to begin with a B or an R, like Bocano, Bocairo,
Rocano, or Rocairo. For his wife it looks like more like an M, as in Moracco, Moiacco,
Morano, or Moiano. If this is a B, it looks like Boracco, Bicacco, Borano, or Boiacano.
Only similar ones found in the atlas were Bormio and Bovino. The third letter is definately
an a, for both passenger and wife. Given name of wife looks like it maybe two names, Maria
Tena, or Maria Cena. If it is one name, it looks like Marialeccia. Nothing similar was
found for either of the second names, nor the longer name. It maybe a nickname. At the end
of the line is stamped NON IMM for Non Immigrant.
Inspector, Ja??a West, letters are not clear, maybe Jalma, Jalnia, Jaema, or Jaenia.
