Transcriber's Notes: * is for error by the original recorder(s) or to note other information on the copy, added to the transcriber's notes. ? Transcriber unable to read due to the quality of the copy, letters are too small, written over or elaborate writing. This Manifest indicates the ship left Genova on 2 April, Naples on 3 April, and Palermo on 4 April. Recorders used the word do for ditto, for most passengers, (unless otherwise noted) for nationality, race, country of origin and last residence; and for some destinations. This transcriber replaced all dittos with the information referred to. Passengers 148,153, 157 and 158 are crossed out, and have no checks. This usually means that this passenger was not on this ship. All other passengers have checks before each surname, between age and gender, and by Final Destination. This page has thick horizontal lines from passenger numbers 145, 153, 157 and 158 down the Final Destination column, indicating these passengers did not board the ship. Stamped on the top of the page is a 16, in the given name column. At the bottom of that column is stamped a 13 or 18. Written between passengers 179 and 171 is the number 26, the number of actual passengers on this page making the trip. At the bottom of the nearest relative column, is a signature, possibly the recorder, can make out N. Mo??m Jr?s?? The Italian language has no letter j, k, or w.
