The following annotation, dated 22 days after the arrival of the ship at
New York City, was included on the microfilm of the last page of the manifest
(pg.9).
I Eben Howes Jr. master of Ship Siddons do swear that on my Passenger List of
said vessel upon Entry there were seventeen names put down as Infants; that I
am perfectly satisfied in my own mind that five of said names at least were for
children under twelve months of age that I believe the whole seventeen were under
twelve months of age.

Correspondence added 1-3-2006, Passenger 7, COSBIT
I believe the passenger Richard Cosbit is Richard Corbit
(Corbett as we spell it), my great granduncle carpenter
from Kilkenny (Ireland) who disappeared in California.
His family advertised for him in Missing Friends in 1855
and 1857 http://infowanted.bc.edu/. He was the son of
John Corbett and Anastasia Grace, brothers Patrick, Dominic,
William, sisters Ellen and Joanna. He went to San Francisco
and then to Eureka, CA.
