I, A. Albers, Master of the S.S. Rugia, do solemnly, sincerely and truly declare that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of the city of New York is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said steamship at Hamburg from which port said steamship has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died. Johann Eggers was born in 1856 and died in 1898.  He married Anna Bohrenkamp 14 July 1883.
They had seven children: John 1884, Katherine 1886, Edward 1888, William 1890, Walter 1895, 
Elizabeth 1896 and Annabelle 1898. From my research, both Johann and Anna came from
Hechthausen, Germany.  Anna's sister, Maria Bohrenkamp (b. 1848) arrived in America on the
SS Adolphine 3 January 1868.  For more information contact Bill Eggers
