I, O. C. Opdahl do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers, subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the District of New York, contains to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the President Christie whereof I am Master, from Hamburg. Personal Notes:
Passengers 6-11, the Tesch family, lost their husband and father during the voyage.
When they arrived in New York they proceeded to Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County,
New York where they established a new home and Christine remarried. Justine Auguste
Louise Tesch eventually married Ferdinand Grose, a great-uncle of the transcriber,
Robert Grose, and moved to St. Clair County, Michigan.
