Transcriber's Notes:
* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not the
transcriber or is used to call your attention to additional information in
the transcriber notes.
On the manifest, children are indicated with a bracket (}) and "his children.
I have transcribed this by writing instead "his child" after each individual
child.
If no information was given in a column for a particular passenger, the
column was left blank.
Passengers designated as babies are not included as numbered passengers, so
I have given them the same number as their mother, followed by "b".
1-3 The "o" in the last name is umlauted.
4 This passengers' name, age, sex, and occupation are crossed out, and what
is written is the best I can make out. A note is written to the right of
these columns: "got sick and remained" at Hamburg"
14 A second initial is given that could be "T".
23-26 The "o" in the last name might be umlauted.
24b There is a notation in the "died on voyage" column that is difficult to
read. It looks like "Drivg on ----" However, there is a line that
seems to connect this notation to the passenger C.H.F. Tadget.
27-28 The "a" in the last name could be umlauted, or the name could be
"Tiedget".
30 Unsure of middle name, especially 2nd and 5th letters -- "o" looks more
like "or" or "a".
34 Last name might begin with a "K" or "H".
45 Last name may be Kalz.
47-48 The "r" in the last name may be an "o"; the "u" may be an "n".
48 There is a notation in the columns after his information -- may be info
on death during voyage, but is not in that column. Words look similar to
notation for passenger 26b, something like "D?ivg in Nambig"
52-53 The "u" in the last name is umlauted.
54 The middle name may be Ludus.
59 The "u" in the last name is umlauted.
60 The "u" in the last name is umlauted.
71 The second letter in the first name looks very much like an "a" but may
not be attached to the "S"; "v" is pretty clear, and stands alone.
71-72 Last name could be "Maerzewsky."
74 Occupation is written over. It looks like "his wife" might have been
mistakenly written first, and then "merchant" was written over that.
75b This is my best guess. The name is written in between the lines and very
difficult to make out.
79 The "u" in the last name might be an "a".
81 Unsure of first letter of last name.
85-88 The "o" in the last name is umlauted
89 No last name is given for this passenger, and there is no "do" for "ditto"
in the column to indicate that his last name is Dohler -- the family that
precedes him in the manifest.
