DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, M McMullen Master of the S???? Newyork do solemnly, sincerely and truly Swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York,is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Steam?? at Glasgow from which port said (omitted) has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

The transcription preserves the original spelling.

The handwriting of this manifest was very poor. Extra research should be undertaken 
to confirm findings.

The manifest did not include psgr #s; they have been added by the transcriber.

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual words 
indicated.

The manifest scribe used a Germanic letter resembling 'fs'; to aid in reading, these
have been transcribed to 'ss'.

This ship is listed as the 'New York' on Ancestry.com.

  9  2nd and 3rd letters of Occupation not clear, could be Gunmaker.
 11  First and surnames illegible because of fading under adhesive tape repair.
 34  2-4th letters of first name illegible; 5-7th letters of Occupation illegible,
     probably Machinist.
 44  2nd number of Age not clear, could be 17y or 19y.
 49  1st letter of surname not clear, could be Serge.
 55  3rd letter of surname illegible
 58  2nd number of Age not clear, could be 20y or 21y.
 64-66  Occupation illegible.
 84  2nd and 3rd letters of surname not clear, could be Memdie or Merndie.
