I, H Henke, Master of the Ship Magdalene do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board the said vessel at Bremen from which port the said vessel has now arrived: and that on said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said Passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died. Bracketing of passengers: Some passenger groups were shown by brackets to be traveling

Occupation: The writer appears to be a German trying to write the English words.
The words are clearly written, except as noted, and I would guess at these meanings:
Worckmann is Workman; Schutenmaker (if from Shutsmaker listing) is boatbuilder;
Shumaker is Shoemaker; Serven is Servent; Titcher could be Teacher or Tilemaker
(Ticheler); Buchler could be a bookseller; Maurer is unknown; Wiver is Weaver;
Jeuner is Joiner; Schmidt is Smith; Prichler may be Preacher; Cupper is unknown.
Country intending to become inhabitants: Most words, though spelled wrong, can be
understood phoenetically. Iova is Iowa, New Braska is Nebraska, Michichan is Michigan
(also this may be Michia), Millwauky is Milwaukee, etc. I am not sure of Burale and
Buvala, though they are clearly written.
8 Occupation is too small and tight at end to clearly read; all midline letters.
18- 20 Surname is Chnala or Chwala.
28 This passenger is bracketed with passengers #26-27, but has an added k on end
of name.
29 Age of passenger is possibly 26 or 36; first number has been written over.
91- 95 Third letter of surname varies in the writer's handwiting from j to g to y.
121 This passenger is partially bracketed with #122-123; this may be overlap, or
truly bracketed together.
132-141 Writer changes name from Gedderd to Godderd at times; but family is bracketed
together.
158-162 Surname has umlaut.
163 14 days probably refers to infant, as only daughter (#164) is listed as died.
166 First name has a midline letter that has thick ink; rounded; possibly a or o
for Geacke or Geocke.
204 The name is in a crease so that the letters cannot be seen, but of what can
be seen it is possible that the surname is Paider like the previous person.
210-211 Only passenger #210 is actually listed on manifest with the notation "child
born". The infant is added as #211 to be consistent with ISTG policy of
listing everyone.
218 Occupation is schulemaker or schutsmaker.
237 Surname is Kleish or Kleist.
247 Surname is Sachsenmeser or Sachsenmoser.
269 Surname is Diebel or Dieteel.
273 Age's first number doesn't match other numbers; but possibly is 42. Occupation
275 Others with this first name begin with a C, but this is clearly a K.
278 The K is thick, surname is possibly Kumpp or Krumpp. Age's first number is
too thick to read.
282 Surname has thick ink, some letters unreadable.
290 Age's first number was written over, possibly 39 or 59.
295 First name is partially covered by edge of paper. Based on rest of manifest,
the first name is probably Chatarine.
296 Surname has accent over last e. Occupation is Schutsmaker or Schulsmaker.
297-298 Surname has accent over last e.
