Correspondence July 7, 2009 - passengers #112-118 and MULLIN, HOULIHAN and #124 DAUGHTONThe passenger list includes 7 of my relatives. Passengers #112 thru 118, (Holohan and Millins) are misspelled and have some incorrect ages, but match very well with other evidence I have of their entry into the USA: 112 should read Bartholomew Houlihan, age 62 113 should read Dennis Mullin, age 25 M 114 should read Patrick Mullin, age 22 M 115 should read Margaret Houlihan Mullin, age 19 F 116 should read Mary Galvin Houlihan, age 48 F 117 should read Joseph Mullin, infant M 118 should read Michael Mullin, infant M #112 was married to #116 and they were the parents of 115. #115 was married to 113, and they were the parents of 117 and 118 #114 was a brother to 113. Records of other members of the clan (Mullin, Houlihan, Daughton) show their Irish homesite to have been around Lixnow, which makes their departure from Limerick logical. There is a possibility that another passenger was also related to the group. #124 John Daughton may have been a brother-in-law if 113, 114 and 115. Other records show that this group moved on to Fairfield County,Ohio, where 117 and 118 were baptized on Sept.15, 1851. All except Patrick,#114, then moved to Decatur County,Iowa, in 1858. Patrick,#114, married Margaret Hoffhines in Pickaway County,Ohio in 1860 and they later moved to join the others in Decatur County, Iowa, in 1866. I am a grandson of Patrick.
