DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, David Caulkins Master of the Henry Clay do solemnly, sincerely and truly Swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York,is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Henry Clay at Liverpool from which port said Henry Clay has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

The destination for all passengers was United States and no deaths were recorded on this voyage; these columns have been omitted from this transcription.

The transcription preserves the original spelling.

All ditto marks on the original manifest have been replaced with the actual 
words indicated.

The manifest did not include psgr #s; they have been added by the transcriber.

The manifest scribe used a Germanic letter resembling 'fs'; to aid in reading, 
these have been transcribed to 'ss'.

 60 Gender, Occupation, and Country of Origin omitted.
 73 Based on first name and Gender, Occupation is daughter.
 83, 84, 86 Based on first name and Gender, Occupation is daughter.
 91 First letter of surname not clear because of overwriting, could be Hannah or 
    Kannah.
 99 Manifest scribe recorded Country of Origin in the Occupation column, and the 
    Occupation in the Country of Origin for this and all subsequent passengers.
    For consistency in reading, these fields have been transcribed with 
    Occupation in Occupation column and Country of Origin in Country of Origin 
    column.
115 Occupation is probably Dyer.
