Ship Antarctic


Liverpool, England to New York
5 April 1858

DISTRICT OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, Geo C Stouffer Master of the Ship Antarctic do solemnly, sincerely and truly (omitted) that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by Me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York,is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board of the said Ship Antarctic at Liverpool from which port said Antarctic has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.

List or Manifest OF ALL THE PASSENGERS taken on board the Antarctic whereof Geo C Stouffer is Master, from Liverpool burthen 1115 tons.
Columns represent: Name, Age, Sex, Occupation, The country to which they severally belong, The country to which they intend to become inhabitants, Died on the Voyage, and Part of the vessel occupied by each passenger during the voyage. The destination for all passengers was United States, no deaths were recorded on this voyage, and the Space Occupied for all passengers was "Poop"; these columns have been omitted from this transcription.

 7-10 This is probably a family traveling together, surname Kindrick or 
      Kendrick for all.
13    Age recorded as 14 months.
15    2nd and 3rd letters of surname illegible.
