I, J. Horteman* Master of the of the Ship Ann of Bremen
do solemnly swear that the annexed List contains to the best of my knowledge
and belieef* a just and true account or Report of all the Passengers who have
been taken on board the said ship at Bremen or any other foreign Port or at sea
and brought in the said vessel into any District of the U. S. since her departure
from the said Port of Bremen.

The use of a "*" indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, or is used
to call your attention to additional information in the Transcriber's Notes below.
The use of a "?" indicates letters or words that cannot be read due to the quality of
the original document.
The original spelling and capitalization have been used throughout. Some words are
Germanicized, e.g. Schumacher for shoemaker, Blackschmidt for Blacksmith, Schip for
ship.
The recorder used a colon (:) to indicate a name which has been abbreviated.
The second column, "Country wherefrom", is overwritten "Nationality",
but appears to represent the locality or town from which the passenger originated,
rather than the country.
The third column is headed "Destination", but is overwritten "Occu" and represents
occupation.
The Captain's name is signed clearly in two places as J. Horstmann, but is written
as J. Horteman on the sworn statement.
The word "belief" in the sworn statement is spelled "belieef".
2, 7: There is an umlaut over the "a" in Missionar.
18, 74, 84, 92: Occupation "Capenter" probably "Carpenter"
94, 95, 97, 127: Occupation "Capenter" probably "Carpenter"
24, 32, 112: Occupation "Tailor" spelled "Tailer".
24-28: There is an umlaut over the "u" in Muhlhausen.
28: August Fileberg. Surname could be Kleberg.
31: Johann Ogritz. Surname could be Opitz. Age could be 20 or 28
42: Ludwig Baum. Occupation "Farmer" spelled "Farmar".
81: Heinr: Stempel. First name could be Herm:
86: Hine Torkert. First name could be Stine.
104: Heinr: Plegge. First name could be Herm.
114: Friedr: Ruhvien. There is an umlaut over the "u".
