I, R. Moussion, of the La Bretagne, do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that I have caused the surgeon of said vessel sailing therewith, or the surgeon employed by the owners thereof, to make a physical and oral examination of each and all of the aliens named in the foregoing Lists or Manifest Sheets, forty-nine in number, and that from the report of said surgeon and from my own investigation, I believe that no one of said aliens is an idiot, or insane person, or a pauper, or is likely to become a public charge, or is suffering from a loathsome or a dangerous contagious disease, or is a person who has been convicted of a felony or other crime or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude, or a polygamist, or an anarchist, or under promise or agreement, express or otherwise, to perform labor in the United States, or a prostitute, and that also, according to the best of my knowledge or belief, the information in said Lists or Manifests concerning each of said aliens named therein is correct and true in every respect.

Correspondence 02/24/2003 passenger #63 Zussa
Vittorio Zussa, born in Arcade, Treviso, Italy about 1883 to Giovanni Zussa
and Maria Castalonga. He was traveling with his sister, Amalia DeSordi
[passenger # 181], along with Amalia's first born children. Vittorio
immigrated to set up housekeeping and raise his children in America and
to be near his sister who joined her husband, Antonio DeSordi, in Chicago,
Illinois. He married Teresa Cesca and had three children--1 son and 2 daughters.
He was not happy in America. Along with his family he moved to Brazil, South
America. Some time afterwards, he and his wife divorced. Teresa returned to
the US with her children and resettled in Detroit, Michigan where she raised
her children and spent the remainder of her days. Vittorio remarried but did
not return to the US. He died in Brazil in 1952. (submitter unknown)
