I, Thomas Jones, Master of the S. S. Wyoming do solemnly, sincerely, and truly declare that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of New York, is a full and perfect List of all the Passengers taken on board of the said Wyoming at Liverpool and Queenstown from which Port said Wyoming has now arrived; and that on the said List is truly designated the age, the sex, and the occupation of each of the said Passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each during the passage, the country to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended by each to become an inhabitant; and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the number of said Passengers who have died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who have died. The use of a * indicates an omission, or an error made by the original
recorder.
* No age was recorded for infant passengers.
There were no births or deaths on this passage.
The country of which it is intended by each of the passengers to become an
inhabitant is the USA, so this column was eliminated.
Many of the German passengers seem to have Scandinavian names. Could they be
from Sweden, Norway, or Denmark instead? I have also noticed that some of the
given names do not seem to agree with the gender.
The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to the
quality of the original document.
20 ?aski O. Aabol - The first letter is hard to identify.
26 ?? Lundstrom - The first one or two letters or initials are hard to
identify. There may be one or two capital letters.
32 Karen Olsen - Her age could be 22 or 32.
56 E??d Amensen - The missing letters are small and may include an m or an n.
57 G??l. Evanson - The missing letters are small like u, i, w, or m. The name
may be abbreviated.
67 Selmann - This infant had no given name.
73 ?? H. Ze?zpki - The first initial, or perhaps two letters, are hard to
read. The middle letter is tall, like t or b.
81 T???d Aanansen - The missing letters are small, like u and n.
85 Mary ? Davis - The middle initial was unreadable.
113* Thomas Freeman - A note above his passenger number looks like Com of Ire.
A number above his surname is 8-6-08.
148* There appears to be another male Davis child, no name or age given.
157 M. Alfallag?? and 158 Sarah Alfallag?? - the end of the name was smudged.
