So help me God. (Signature) E. Howes.

Transcriber's Notes:
A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
definitely.
A caret (^) indicates that the following letter in a word or name is
superscripted.
An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of
the manifest or something in the Transcriber Notes to which the reader should
refer.
The transcriber numbered the passengers consecutively, even though they are
not numbered in the original manifest.
The recorder of the manifest often abbreviates given names by writing the first
few letters of the name, then skipping letters and then writing the final
letter as superscripted. In these cases, the transcribers use the symbol (^)
to indicate that the following letter was superscripted, i.e., Dan^l for
Daniel, Edw^d for Edward, W^m for William, etc. Other times the recorder
abbreviates given names by writting the final without a superscript, i.e., Thos
for Thomas, Chas for Charles, etc. The recorder sometimes also uses the
abbreviations Hy for Henry and Jno for John.
13 Middle letters of surname are not carefully formed and cannot be
deciphered with confidence. Surname is possibly "Schenak", "Schunck",
"Schenck" or a similar name.
14 Middle initial is likely either "L" or "S".
25 Surname appears to be either "Onld" or "Ovld".
31 Surname appears written as "Byen", but might actually be "Byrn".
32 Surname is possibly "Vigan" or "Vigon".
33 Surname appears to be either "Raw" or "Row".
48 Surname is possibly "Schwerdt", "Schweidt" or "Schiverdt".
51-52 No Occupation is recorded for the husband and the wife's Occupation is
listed as "Merchant", likely a recording error, and should be the reverse.
56-57 Surname appears to be "Stelling", "Stetting" or "Sletting".
58 Surname is either "Bontell" or "Bontill".
60 Surname is possibly "Dill" or "Dul".
61 Surname appears to be either "Glanny", "Glaning" or "Glarring".
65 Age appears to be 36, but might possibly be 56.
68 Surname is possibly "Man", "Marr", "Mass" or "Mars".
74 Surname appears to begin with "S" followed by two or three letters too
poorly formed to be deciphered followed by a final letter "e".
80 The letter between "a" and "f" in surname is not clearly formed and cannot
be deciphered with certainty, but surname is possibly "Canfull", "Cafull",
"Camfull" or something similar.
84 Surname begins with "B" and ends with "k", but the two or three letters in
between are too poorly formed to be deciphered. Surname is possibly "Buck"
or "Brick" or some similar name.
86 Surname is possibly "Watten", "Watters" or "Walters.
92 Surname appears to be written as "Royse", but might possibly be "Royze"
or "Royce".
104 Surname is either "Whittoch" or "Whittock".
105 First two letters of surname are not clearly formed and cannot be
deciphered with certainty, but surname appears to be "Traner".
106 Surname appears to be written as "Mungan", but might possibly be "Morgan".
116 Surname is recorded as "Crowly", but might actually be spelled "Crowley".
117 Surname is possibly "Castor", "Caston" or "Casten".
121 Surname is either "Detrick" or "Detrich".
126 Surname is recorded as "McIlvain", but might possibly be McIlveen" or
"McIlwaine".
130 Surname is recorded as "McNaley", but might actually be spelled "McNally".
139 Surname appears to be either "Gors" or "Goss".
140 Surname is possibly "Leinz" or "Lessig".
145 Surname is recorded as "Daley", but might actually be spelled "Daly".
147 Surname is possibly "Yersen", "Yerson", "Jersen" or "Jerson".
