                                             Total Passengers 47½

Transcriber's Notes:

An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber Notes to which the reader should refer.

A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
  definitely.

The recorder sometimes misspelled words such as "Unmaried" and place names such as
"Pensilvania", "Cincinati" and "Ne Braska", but the words have been transcribed here
  as recorded in the manifest.

The Recapitulation above shows a total of 47½ total passengers although there is really
a total of 57 passengers aboard. The Transcribers believe there are 47½ equivalent full-
fare passengers in which an adult counts as one full fare, a child counts as half-fare
and a infant under one year of age counts as no-fare.

2 Surname is either "Wette" or "Witte".
4-7 Surname is either "Lolstein" or "Lobstein".
17 Short diagonal lines are drawn through this passenger's name, age, sex, etc..
The reason is not noted, but this usually indicates that a passenger was not on
     board when the ship embarked.
20 Surname appears written as "Schmidz", but might actually be "Schmidt".
20-21 The sex of these passengers is clearly recorded as "F", but likely by mistake as
passenger 21 is obviously a husband of the Bartels family with a wife and two children.
26 Surname appears to be either "Kzausnik" or "Kzansnik".
30-32 The recorded destination "Na Brasca" likely meant the state of Nebraska.
35 Unlaut over the "o" in surname "Konig".
37-40 Surname is either "Zubrod" or "Zulrod".
45 The entries for this passenger were both crossed out and a heavy horizontal line drawn
through making them difficult to decipher. The significance is not known to the
transcribers, but this usually indicates that the passenger was not aboard when the
     ship embarked.
46-47 A note recorded beside these two passengers' names reads: "Going to her Man at
     Conti Staat of Michigan".
48-49 A note recorded beside these two passengers' names reads: "Going to her Man at
     New York".
49 The transcribers assume that the "+" entered in the "Part of the Ship Occupied" column
means that the infant did not occupy a full space.
50 Surname appears to be either "Hoppie" or "Hoppe".
55 Last two letters of surname have been overwritten making deciphering uncertain.
Surname is possibly "Rues", "Russ" or "Ruess".
57 Second initial can not be deciphered with certainty, but is possibly a "Ph".
