The Ontario was built in New York in 1830 and was commanded by Capt Bradish in 1841. She was a rigged ship of 467 tons and was owned by Sebor & Co. She was registered and based in New York and made frequent voyages to London. The register said that she was in A1 condition - A1 is Vessel is well and sufficiently found.
This is an unusual entry for the period as prior to 1860, Lloyds Registers only contained British and Canadian ships. Although this vessel was based in New York, it qualified because it was surveyed in London. She ceased to appear in the Registers after 1850
I've got this entry from the 1832 Lloyds Register that shows the first captain to be Sebor himself, owner and captain
