Transcriber's Notes:

A question mark (?) indicates a letter or a number that can not be transcribed
  definitely.

The "Br Bark" likely implies that the vessel was of British ownership or registry.
Ancestry.com has vessel name transcribed as "Ratahouse".

The transcriber numbers the passengers consecutively, even though they are not
  numbered in the original manifest.

An asterisk (*) indicates either difficulty in deciphering the handwriting of the
manifest or something in the Transcriber's Notes to which the reader should refer.

1 Passenger's Occupation is not clearly written and cannot be deciphered with
certainty, but appears to possibly be "Shoemaker".
4 First two letters of given name are poorly formed and cannot be deciphered
with certainty, but name might possibly be "Cotter", or even "Peter".

Correspondence 05/23/2005 master McMillan
I think from my information that the name of this Bark should read as the Kalahome.
My great great grandfather was the ship's Master George McMillan and he married in
Cape Town.

I have now found about 7 or 8 passenger/crew lists for the two barks on which George
was captain. The initials M.A.S. McMillan I think these might stand for Whinfield
Henry Stephen McMillan, he was George's brother, mate on the Kalahome and, from
Lloyds Lists, ship's master in 1868. George was perhaps on another vessel, as
rumour has it he owned another vessel but I haven't yet found any evidence of this.
The Kalahome was sold in 1869 and wrecked off west coast of King Island, Australia
in October 1882. Here is a description of the Kalahome:

Rigging: Barque sheathed in felt and copper, fastened with copper bolts.
Tonnage 270
Dimensions:120 feet long 26.5 foot beam and holds 16.5 foot deep
Construction: 1861 by Robinson in Sunderland
Owners: G. McMillan
Master: George McMillan
Port of registry: London
Port of Survey: London
