LIST OF PASSENGERS

DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK - PORT OF NEW YORK
I, V. Mitchell, Master of the Schr. Helen, do solemnly, sincerely, and truly swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of the City of New York, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board the said vessel at Minatitland*, Mex. from which Port the said vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, sex, calling, country of citizenship, native country, intended destination or location, number of pieces of baggage, location of compartment or space occupied, and date and cause of death of passengers, as required by the Passenger Act of 1882; also a true statement, so far as it can be ascertained, with reference to the intention of each alien passenger as to a projected sojourn in this country. So help me God. (signed) V. Mitchell. Sworn to this 23rd July 1884, before me. (signed) ?????????, Deputy Collector.
List or Manifest of ALL THE PASSENGERS taken on board the Schr. Helen whereof V. Mitchell is Master, from Minatitland*, Mex., burthen 185 tons.
Columns represent: given name and surname, age, sex, calling, the country of which they are citizens, native country, intended destination or location, number of pieces of baggage, and location of compartment or space occupied. Since no one died during the voyage, that column was omitted in this transcription. There were no entries in the column specifying whether the passengers were visitors only or intending to be permanent settlers, so that column too was omitted.

Transcriber's Notes:

Although the manifest twice records the port of origin as "Minatitland, Mex.",
the actual spelling of the town in Mexico is "Minatitlan" with an accent mark (')
    above the last "a".
