Correspondence added 5-22-2006, passengers 9 and 12-14 TAILOR, TAYLOR
I can identify these four names on the list: passenger #9, J Tailor was
Jean Taylor, (b1792), wife of Nathaniel Taylor (1791-abt1835), the oldest son
of John (1756-1811) and Elizabeth Paxton Taylor (1770-1857) of Shanrod,
County Down, Ireland. Nathaniel emigrated at the same time and it is
surprising that he is not on the passenger list too.
Passenger #12 is John Taylor (b1803), youngest son of John and Elizabeth Taylor.
In 1832 John married Margaret O'Brien.
Passengers #13 and #14 are John and Jean?, children of Nathaniel and Jean Taylor.
My sister has a number of letters written by Nathaniel and John to their brother
Robert Taylor (1794-1875) who stayed on the farm at Shanrod. Robert Taylor is
my great-great grandfather. Robert William ("Robin") Taylor
