Transcriber's Notes:

* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not the transcriber,
or calls attention to additional information in the transcriber notes.
? A question mark replaces a missing or illegible letter or word.

The first two paragraphs above are printed as part of the form for this list. The next
three paragraphs are two separate stamps placed on the body of the page and then completed.
In this instance only the title and the date of the first stamp were filmed. The rest is
 cut off.

The pages on this film are not numbered so finding a particular ship can be difficult.
However, there appears to be a system of numbering the manifests. These numbers are
included in the identification of the film and reel numbers below.

The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not included in
the table:
 No of Certificate=no entries
 Complexion=Dk
 Color of Eyes=Dk
If accredited oficers of Chinese Government, state facts=no entries

There is no manifest number on this list but it is probably 9422-3. It is on the same
page as 9423 and other lists are numbered 9422-1 and 9422-2.

1 This name could begin with an "I" or a "J," followed by a letter with a high loop,
perhaps an "l," "b" or "h," making the name Ibing, Ihing, Iling, Jling, Jhing, or Jbing.
National Archives and Records Administration, Film M1414, Reel 5, Section 2, Vol 32&33, Manifest ?*.
