I, H. Haesloop, Master of the Ship Bessel of Bremen do solemnly swear that the annexed list contains the names, to the best of my knowledge and belief, of all the passengers who have been taken on board the said ship at Bremen or any other foreign port or at sea and brought in the said vessel into any District of the United States.

My great great grandfather, Carl (Charles) Seibel, No. 43 on the ships manifest, was a Tailor
age 29 when he arrived in Baltimore August 6, 1846. Charles was from Würtenberg, Germany.
He married Margareth, who came to America from Baier, Germany in 1843. They lived their
entire lives in Baltimore and had at least four children, including my great grandfather
Charles Frederick Seibel (1846-1935) ... a cigarmaker and fish dealer. Dennis J. Hubscher
