Transcriber's Notes:
The use of an "*" indicates an omission or error made in the original document
or a clarification by this transcriber.
The use of a "?" indicates a word or letters that could not be read, due to
the quality of the original document.
The use of a caret "^" indicates the following letter has been
superscripted, indicating possible abbreviation.
Words like Flax dresser, Sempstress, Dress Maker, and the family name Cassedy
have the "leading s", which looks more like a cursive "fs" in English but is
actually "ss".
The signature attesting to the sworn statement is indecipherable; it is
followed by "DC" which may indicate the Deputy Collector of Customs.
Passengers were numbered by the transcriber for ease of reference.
*Captain: Family name is probably Fosdick, but may be Fordick
19 Given name may be Onig; what looks like the tail of a first "g" or "z" is
the top of following passenger's J.
34 Given name is believed to be Nell (compare N with other N names); however
sex given is male
61 Middle initial may be I or J
