Transcriber's Notes

The use of an * indicates an omission or error made by the original recorder.
The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read due to the
quality of the original document.

The port recorder's signature is illegible.

The column listing those who died on the voyage has been deleted from this transcription
as it is void of notation.

Captain Dyer's signature appears again just beneath the passenger listing.

1 This passenger's initials are written on the manifest just as its transcribed, "MS"
both capitalized with no punctuation. However it seems likely that they are her initials
and not her title as the recorder in his haste simply wrote MS and not M.S.

2 The notation in the occupation column seems like the original recorder started to write
something and had a second thought and wrote over it. Possibly Yallee or Lallee. The "allee"
is clear, it's the first letter in the word that's the problem.

6 This passenger's last name could be "Page" or "Puge." The top of the "a" was not entirely
closed as an "a" should be. In addition, the tail of the "a" comes off at the bottom and not
at the top as it should be if it were intended to be a "u". We believe the recorder in his
haste could have intended either letter. Also, the top of the letter "g" is not completely
closed either. So it's hard to tell what the original recorder had in mind.
