Correspondence January 31, 2008 - Passengers 53 CRESPAN and 54 BAVARESCO
During research of my family tree, my parents informed me that they migrated
to Australia on the SS Sebastiano Caboto. My mother, Maria Albina Crespan
(nee Zanon), and my Uncle, Bruno Bavaresco, departed from Genoa, Italy in late
December 1949, arriving in Melbourne, Australia on the 29th January 1950. My
Father, Angelo Gottardo Crespan, made the trip on the previous trip with the
Sebastiano, arriving in August 1949, also to Melbourne. When I found your
passenger list on ISTG, I noticed their names were not included. I showed them
the list, and they remember some of the names on that list, so I am sure that
it is the correct list that they should be on.
I am sending you this email to help you correct the list. If you want more
information, please feel free to reply with any questions you may have. Also,
if you know where I can find some more information on the ship itself, eg.
photos, etc, I would greatly appreciate it. Thankyou for your time.
Dennis Crespan

since the ship carried hundreds more passengers.
