Transcriber's Notes:
#13 Harold Warburton was born 1881 in Manchester, Lancashire, England.
On census reports I have found he is listed as the adopted son of
George Martin Morris and Margat Mitchell Morris. On this manifest
it says that he was going to stay with his "cousin" Thomas Morris and
passage was paid by an aunt (probably the widowed Margat Morris).
So I now believe that he was probably the Morris' nephew but they
raised him and possibly even legally adopted him. Since the formal
adoption laws did not take place in England until 1926, I have been
unable to verify this adoption. His biological parents are unknown
but assumed to be George Morris' sister or Margat Mitchell's sister,
either who must have married a Warburton or at least the child was
given his surname. Harold and the Morris family all settled in
New Jersey eventually. In 1920 census of New Jersey, Hudson, West
New York, ED 338; Harold is listed living with Margaret (Margat) Morris.
He is listed as age 39, an adopted son, and is still an electrician.
He is unmarried and got his US citizenship in 1918. Please contact
Sheila Tate if you have any information about Harold or the
Morris family of Manchester.
