Hipparcus
In April 20 th of 1874 this ship "Hipparcus" departured from Liverpool, England, to Buenos Aires, Argentina, arriving about a month later (the date is not mentioned). About forty-nine souls were onboard, all from Wales, going to Porth Madryn in Patagonia, to the Welsh colony in Argentina.
Passengers: Edward Owen, from Ty Ucha, city of Bala, Wales Rev. Abraham Matthews (Book's author). Rev. John Caerenig Evans, from Cwmaman, Aberdar, Wales. Rev. David Lloyd Jones, from Ruthin, W. John S. Williams, Hawen, Aberteifi, W. John W. Jones, Tanygrisiau, Ffestiniog, W. Edward Owen is the contributor's great grandfather, single, an engineer.

The book was translated from the original Welsh to Spanish.
written by Abraham Matthews, one of the first settlers in Patagonia in 1865,
and a passenger on the ship "Mimosa".
