DISTRICT OF MISSISSIPPI - PORT OF NEW ORLEANS
I Henry Ashbey Master or Commander ot the Schr Francis Amy do solemnly sincerely and truly swear that the within list signed by me and now delivered to the Collector of this District contains the names of all the passengers, taken on board the said Sch^r Francis Amy at the Port of Matagorda or at any time since, and that all matters therein set forth are, according to the best of my knowledge and belief just and true. I do further swear, that none of the said Passengers have died on the voyage. (signed) Henry Ashbey

Four columns of the original list were omitted.  They were:
Occupation: merchant was entered for passenger no. 1 and a wavy line
drawn to the bottom of the column.

Country to which They Belong: United States was entered for passenger
no. 1 and a wavy line drawn to the bottom of the column.

Country of Which They Intend to Become Inhabitants: United States was
entered for passenger no. 1 and a wavy line drawn to the bottom of the column.

Number that have died on the passage:  An unreadable scribble on the
first line and a wavy line to the bottom of the column.

 3 - First name looks most like Alron, Abron, or Ahon
 4 - First name looks most like Abrm  The last name is either Boreland or
     Breland.
     There is a smudge between the "B" and the "r" that may be an "o".
 7 - Last name looks most like Brigs or Brogs
 9 - Last name is either Wiley or Weley
12 - Last name looks most like Beebee but could be Bubee
14 - First name looks most like Smrata or Emrata
16 - Last name could be Childrep or Childress
17 - looks like: & Jns children.  The entries in the name column for lines 16
     and 17 are linked with a }.  There were 2 check marks in the age column.

Contributor's Note:

National Archives and Records Administration, Film M272, Reel 2, contains the
quarterly abstracts of passenger lists of vessels arriving at New Orleans
Jan. 2, 1838 - Sept. 30, 1845.  The names are transcribed in a very clear hand.
Instead of the entry shown on line 17 of this passenger list the following
individuals are included in the list of passengers:  A. Childress, 3 female
and S. Childress, 1, female.
