Transcriber's Notes:

* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the original recorder, not
the transcriber, or is used to call your attention to additional information
   in the transcriber's notes.

? Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due to the
condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original recorder.

* The age and sex columns were originally broken down into four categories:
male above 12, female above 12, male under 12, and female under 12. The
formatter has combined the ages into one column and added a column for each
passenger's gender as originally written. Some of the passengers were listed
in an incorrect gender or age column. Notations for these inaccuracies have
been documented in the passenger notes below, as have clarification of those
who were listed as being 12 years of age.

* Several names were bracketed with one occupation and one or more items of
baggage. The occupation and the baggage were placed next to the senior
member of the group. The occupation and the baggage were placed next to the
   senior member's name. Brackets:
   1&2, 3-6, 7-11, 15&16, 17-19, 20-26, 29-31, 36&37, 38-47, 48-50, 51-54,
   55-61, 64-67, 69-79, 80-86, 87&88, 89&90, 91&92, 93-95, 96-101, 103-109,
   111-118, 120&121, 122-125, 130&131.

* Deaths on board are designated, as such, under occupation and in brackets.

* According to the Getty Thesaurus, there are two cities named New Ross. They
are located in County Wexford, Ireland and in Nova Scotia, Canada. Neither
are port cities, though they are near major ports. The names on the manifest
would indicate that they probably came from Ireland.
