Transcriber's Notes:

The use of an * indicates an omission or error made by the original recorder.
The notes below apply to the list as a whole; notes concerning individuals are
included at the end of their respective paragraphs, above.

The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could not be read,
due to quality of original document. Notes referring to these
question marks are included at the end of the individual paragraphs, above.

* Much of this transcript was typewritten, making the names very
clear, but the information for columns 9 to 12 was handwritten.

* I have changed the order of the columns. The first two columns
actually are for age and sex, though the the column headings "age" and
"sex" are not shown; I surmised that those were the headings because
the information in those columns appears to give the age and sex, for
example, 35m (age 35, male). For ease of reading, and for consistency
in format, I have moved the age and sex information to immediately follow
the name of the person concerned. However, in most cases the information
in those two columns is completely unreadable.

* The original numbering for this list was from 44 to 64. I have changed
it to be continuous with the previous page (25). In several instances,
family members were listed together under one number. For example,
Passenger 68 was followed immediately by the name of his brother, who did
not have a separate number. In this transcription, each individual has a
separate number; the last number listed is therefore 100, not 64.

* There were no entries made under Column 10, Departmental and Executive
Orders and only one person was deported, so those columns have been omitted.

* The meaning of "LPC" or "lpc" under the heading "Cause of Detention" is "Likely
to become a Public Charge".

If some of these pages do not work properly
they have not yet been transcribed.
