Transcriber's notes:

* The use of an * indicates an omission or error made
by the original recorder. The notes below apply to
the list as a whole or to several passengers; notes
concerning individuals are included at the end of
    their respective paragraphs, above.

? The use of a ? indicates a word or letters that could
not be read, due to quality of original document.
Notes referring to these question marks are included
at the end of the individual paragraphs, above.

* The abbreviation "ches" or "chest" used to describe
hair or eye color probably means "chestnut".

* Under the Height (feet) column, the most common
notations are what appear to be an "S" or two parallel
lines. Because in a few cases, the numbers are clearly
    written as 5 or 6, I hesitate to interpret the S as a 5,
though that seems most logical. The parallel lines
under inches could possibly be the number 11, but it
seems unlikely, since they are similar to those under
"feet", and it would not make much sense to have so
many people who are 11 feet tall.

* The five passengers who are bracketed together,
beginning with Sarullo, Rosa, are obviously related, but
the accompanying information makes it difficult to know
the exact relationships. It seems clear that Pietro and
Rosa are brother and sister, since both list Maria Suna
as their mother. It is also clear that Pietro and
Francesca are man and wife, and Angela is their daughter.
Maria Modica, beside whose name is written "mother" at
first would seem to be the mother of Francesca; but
since in column 18 it is stated that she is joining her
"son", Michelle Sarullo, it does not make sense that she
could be the mother of Francesca. On the other hand, it
does not make sense that she could be the mother of one
of the Sarullos (both Michelle and Salvatore were listed
earlier as Pietro's brothers), since the mother of Pietro
and Rosa Sarullo was listed in column 11 as Maria Suna.
The notation "children" written next to Maria Modica's
name is also puzzling. I cannot offer any solution, but
if a descendant of one of these family members sees this,
maybe they can offer some clarification!
