travelling together. The original recorder assigned one number to each
group. The transcriber has renumbered the passengers giving each his own
number for ease in researching. The following are the original numbers

meant to be 'Chestnut'.
* Brooklyn was superscripted B^lyn for passengers number 302, 306 and 307.
* 'ident' is recorded for some passengers in both columns 301 & 308, probably
means 'identical'.
* 'not' is recorded for some passengers in column 6, probably means
'nothing'.
* The following information was written along the same line as passenger
