Thompson do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the following List or Manifest of Passengers subscribed with my name, and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs for the Duties of ___, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account of all the Passengers received on board the Ship Silvie de Grasse whereof I am Master, from Havre

* The column heading Occupation has been crossed out and replaced by Baggage,
and the column Died on the Voyage has been not been used.
Passenger Notes:
#14, #15, #51 - A cedille is used on the c in Francois.
#24 - Age was written as 1/2.
#32 - This name is crossed out, with diagonal marks through the name. In the
last column, there are several words written over. The original words are
difficult to decipher; it appears to read "not ____ board." The missing
word is too long to be "on."
#37 - Missing letter(s) could be a or av.
Personal Notes:
21-25 Duchanois family emigrating from La Cote, Dept. of Haute-Saone, France.
Claude Joseph Duchanois was born 23 May 1814, Ecromagny, Haute-Saone. He
married, on 23 Nov. 1839, at La Cote, Marie Bonaventure Mercier, who had been
born 13 July 1811 at La Cote. Their daughters were Marie Delphine, born 21
Dec. 1840 at La Cote, and Marie Octavie, born 10 June 1842 at La Cote.
Traveling with the famiy was Claude Joseph's brother, Ferdinand Duchanois.
The family first settled in Erie Co., New York, then relocated to Frenchtown,
Crawford Co., PA.
26-31 Bron family emigrating from La Cote, Dept. of Haute-Saone, France. Jean
Baptiste Bron was born on 15 Jan. 1804 at La Cote. He married at LA Cote on 9
Aug. 1827, Jeanne Claude Vinot. She was born 18 March 1798 at St. Barthelemy,
Haute-Saone. They arrived in the U.S. along with their children, all born at
La Cote: Eulalie Clere, born 28 Aug. 1830; Pierre Joseph, 1born 5 Oct. 1833;
Marie Sophie, born 24 Sept. 1838, and Francois Jean Baptiste, born 23 July
1840. The family settled near Frenchtown, Crawford Co., PA.
