Transcriber's notes:

* The use of an * indicates an omission or error made by the
original recorder; or a clarification by the transcriber.

? The use of a ? indicates a letter that could not be read,
due to the quality of the original document.

* Collector of Customs: (in the sworn statement) Name is
essentially undecipherable. It may begin with an "M" and
may end with the subscripted abbreviation: DC which
   probably stands for Deputy Collector.

Passenger # 1 - 5 - all have the title Mr., which is written with
the capital "M" and superscripted "r" followed
                     by a period.
Passenger # 2 - While the second letter looks more like an "o",
                     this name is very similar to passenger #12;
and I think it most likely is Harry. The last
                     name may be Dear.
Passenger # 3 - The surname may be Szeliski.
Passenger # 4 - The first initial may be F. and the surname
may be Chevasse, Chevassu, Chevashu, Cherashu,
                     or Cherassu.
Passenger # 5 - The given name may be J. Garcia, with a surname
of del Rio, del Nio, or del ???; or the surname
may be Garcia del Rio, Garcia del Nio, Garcia del
                     ???.
Passenger # 6 - Chs. has the superscript "s" followed by a
period. I believe this is an abbreviation of
                     Charles.
Passenger # 6 & 9 - Under Baggage, there is a distinct mark indicated
above by ??; which may simply be an erasure.
Passenger # 7 - The middle initial is probably "N"; however, it
                     may be an ornate "P."
Passenger #10 - I believe Henry Miller and Frederic Miller (#15)
                     are related, probably brothers.
Passenger #15 - While all other passengers following #10 have
ditto marks indicating repetition of "farmer"
as occupation, Frederic Miller (age 27) has no
ditto marks; the space is empty.
Passenger #18 - 22 - The surname may be Falmes, Folmes, Falmer.

Personal Notes of transcriber:
Passengers #15-17
I believe these are my Miller 3rd great-grandparents and their first child.
Frederic and Catherine Miller may be my 3-greats grandparents, immigrating to New York with their son Frederic, age 3. If so, here is information on these passengers, the rest of the Müller/Miller family, and their connection to my HEYDs.

According to the census, the family emi/immigrated from Europe to New York State between 1825 (15 May 1828?) and 1830; they migrated NY to Indiana between 1835 and 1839. The church record below shows that the father, Frederick Miller died in 1849. Note that his 2nd son carries the same name as passenger #10, who I believe may be Frederick's brother.

In the 1860 census, Mary Miller (age 56 b. France) is living with daughter Caroline (age 26 b. New York) and Carolineıs family: New Albany IN**.
