Henriette lived in Michigan City then Kennsinton, Ill was buried in

Carl (Charles) married Catherina Erhardt in Michigan City Ind and then
moved to Chicago, Ill. (Kennsinton)
Charles and Catherina had children named Charles, Louis, Louisa, Mary,

Edmund Krause married Louise Boeckenhauer in 1863 in Dashwood Canada.
This Krause family and Boeckenhauer family came from Germany to Dashwood,
Ontario, Canada about the same time as Gottlieb and Caroline Harmel Krause
and all of these families came to West Point Nebraska about the same time.
These families all lived on neighboring farms near West Point.
In West Point these families chartered an Evangelical Church which they
attended together. Some of the members who with Gottlieb and Caroline
Krause, founded the German Evangelical Church (The German evangelical
Lutheran Church followed later.) were Edmund Krause, Louise Krause,
C Sanders, J. D. Neligh & wife Mary Krause, Carl Bockenhauer, Sophia
Bockenhauser, H. Bockenhauser & wife, William Neuman & wife, John
Schinke & wife, L. Grunke & wife, Michael Schenke & wife, August Setkie
& wife, and C. Mohr & wife. For the first two years the church met at
the home of Edmund Krause two miles northwest of West Point.

Florendo E. Krause, born in Zirke, Provence, Posen, Kingdom of Prussia, Germany on March 5, 1834. He landed in New York City on Sept 1, 1854. He went to Canada in 1855 and married Mary Mitchell on Sept. 30, 1858 in Stephen Township, County of Huron, Ontario. They moved to West Point in the Spring of 1870. William’s father was August F. William Krause, born in Landsberg, Kingdom of Prussia. Edmund Krause’s brother William Eugene Krause was born in the Province of Posen, Zirke, Germany on Sept 12, 1849. In 1860 Edmund and William went to Canada, then in March of 1868 to Chicago. They came to West Point in May of 1871. William married Miss Susanna Romig in 1854 in Canada.

William Eugene Krause, Vice-President of the First, National Bank at West Point, was born in the Province of Posen, Zirke, of Germany, September 12, 1849, where he was reared and received his education, up to the time he was eleven years of age. In 1860 he accompanied his brother to Canada, there attending school and clerking. In March, 1868, he went to Chicago where he was employed as a clerk in a retail store. While there he attended Bryant & Stratton’s Business College, from which he graduated after which he engaged with C. W. and E Partridge, at canvassing in the city, and remained until May, 1871, when he came to west Point and formed a partnership with his brother, Edmund Krause, the firm name being the W. E. Krause & Co., who erected Krause’s Hall. Subsequently Edmund Krause sold, and the business was known as Krause & Letten. They disassociated in 1876, our subject continuing in business until 1888, when he sold out on account of ill health. He was connected with the First National Bank of which he was a director, and in the summer of 1890 was made a vice-president. He was one of the organizers of the Building and Loan Association and is at present it secretary. He is also secretary and one of the directors of the Electric Light and Power Company. He has been a member of the school board for nine years; four years on the city council, besides other local offices. He was united in marriage at West Point in 1876 to Miss Susanna Romig, who is a native of Pennsylvania; born in 1854. By this union three children were born: Eugene W., April 13, 1879; Amandus J., December, 1880, and one who died in infancy. Mr. Krause belongs to the Masonic Fraternity, being a member of Jordan Lodge No. 27, of which he was master four years. He also belongs to the Chapter, and Tabor Commandery No. 9, at Fremont. He is a man of great energy and has always worked for the general welfare of West Point and Cuming County.

Florendo E. Krause, a notary public agent of North German Lloyd Baltimore and New York line, and insurance agent at West Point, was born in Zirke, Province Poison, Kingdom Prussia, Germany, March 5, 1834. He learned the mason’s trade and emigrated to America, September 1, 1854, landing in New York, and from there went to Canada in 1855. He married Mary Mitchell, in Steaphen Township, county of Huron, Ontario, September 30, 1858, and came to Cuming County, Nebraska, locating at West Point in the spring of 1870. He received his first naturalization papers in Chicago, Illinois and his final papers in West Point, Nebraska June 16, 1875. His children are as follow: Ida who married Peter Poellot, a printer by trade, residing at West Point; Charles, a jeweler at Norfolk, Nebraska; Florando Ernest, a clerk in the general merchandise store at West Point; Edmund, a tinsmith of Randolph, Nebraska; Alonzo, a printer of West Point; Adolph a druggist at West Point; Wanda, Lottie and Ralph at home. Our subject’s father, August F. William Krause, was a master builder and was born in Landsberg, Kingdom of Prussia, Germany. His mother’s maiden name was Henrietta Klose. They were the parents of Edmond Rudolph, a mason by trade, now residing at West Point, Nebraska; Ida Pauline who married Ernest Riebe, a machinist and died in Chicago; Amandus, a mason by trade at West Point; Meta Laura, who married Fritz Remainder, a farmer of Madison County, Nebraska; Henrietta, who married Joseph A. Leppen, a clerk in the War Department with headquarters at St. Paul, Minnesota; William Eugene, a merchant and vice-president of the first National Bank at west Point. They were all born at Zirke, Province Posen, Kingdom of Prussia, Germany. Politically, Mr. Krause is a supporter of the Republican Party, and has held numerous local offices, including that of city clerk and member of the school board. He has been a notary public at West Point for thirteen years. For honor and integrity, the Krause family stand high in the community in which they live.
Boeckenhauer Family History Given to me by Dr. Colleen Dilley, Fremont, Nebraska, who had a relative, Louise Boeckenhauer, marry Edmund Krause who may or may not be related to my Family.
The Boeckenhauer’s and Edmund Krause came from Prussia to Onterio, Canada, and then to West Point about the same time Gottlieb and Caroline Krauses did. Hermann Wilhelm Christian Boeckenhauer was born on Aug. 29, 1810 at Kurzen-Trechow, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany, was christianed on Aug 29, 1810 At Buetzow, Meklbg-Schw, Germany and on Nov 1, 1832 Married at Kurzen-Trechow to Dorothea Elisabeth Brasch who was born May 31, 1813 at Passin, Meklbg-Schw and christianed on June 2, 1813 At Buetzow. Hermann and Dorothea had seven children, The first three were born in Langen-Trechow, Meklbg-Schw, the next three at Passin, and the last one in Ontario, Canada. Their sixth child was Louise Boeckenhauer, born April 11, 1845, in Passen Meklbg-Schw. D. Krause
