I Ray S. Clark Master of the Barque Pioneer of Baltimore do solemnly and truly swear that the annexed list according to the best of my knowledge and belief contains the names of all the passengers who have been taken on board the said Barque at Bremen or any other foreign port or at sea and brought in the said vessel into any district of the U. States since her departure from the said Port of Bremen

   Apparently no occupations are listed for women, so this will indicate 
   gender for many passengers.  

*  No births or deaths were reported for the voyage.


Passenger Notes:

# 48 - spelling of town is not a transcriber error
# 64 - age is listed as 1/2
# 68 - age is listed as 3/4
# 78 - surname is probably Lochler, but may be Sochler
# 91 & #92 - surname is probably Griesinger, but may be Griesingen  
#112-#114 - surname is probably Lukenmeyer, but may be Sukenmeyer
#125 - no occupation is listed, although this passenger is male.


Personal Notes

Passengers 125 and 126 are believed to be William and Dora Johannes/Johnson.
They lived for approximately 10 years in Cincinnati and then settled in Massac
County, Illinois.  Their children used the Americanized  surname of "Johnson."
Children surviving into adulthood:  Henry (born 1842), Herman (born ca. 1844),
William (born 1847), Mary (born 1851, married name Sielbeck), twins Katherine
and Minnie (both born 1853, married names Moller), Dora (born 1860, married
name Trampe), and George (born. 1866).  Contact Lori Maggio-Hall for more
