DISTRICT OF BALTIMORE - PORT OF BALTIMORE
I, B. Gardes, Master of the Ship "Ocean" of Bremen do solemnly, sincerely and truly swear that the annexed List, subscribed with my name, contains, to the best of my knowledge and belief, a just and true account or report of all the passengers who have been taken on board the said ship at Bremen or any other foreign Port, or at sea, and brought in the said vessel into any District of the United States since her departure from the said Port of Bremen.

Passenger Notes:
16      First letter of surname may be either a "T" or an "F" making the name
        either Tenbers or Fenbers
13-17   The column indicating the passengers' nationality is damaged/torn through
        the line for passenger #13 has a first letter which may be a "P"
18-25   The column indicating the passengers' nationality has ditto marks but
        the information to which the ditto marks refer is obliterated on the
        original.
19      Note in far right column for passenger #19 says: baby born on 18th Dec.
21      Given name has an umlaut over the "u" so:  Jürgen.
26-31   First letter of surname may be either a "T" or an "F" making the name
        either Folken or Tolken.
81-82   Third letter of surname is unclear--may be an "e" or a "c" thus the name
        would be either Hocken or Hoeken
94      Surname could be Zarback
99      Note in far right column for passenger #99 says: baby born on the 25th Dec 1871.
103-104 Surname may have an umlaut over the "u" thus Lückel or Luekel
106-107 Surname has an umlaut over the "u" thus it could be spelled Kuehl
113-114 Surname has an umlaut over the "u" thus it could be spelled Krueger 
134-138 Surname has an umlaut over the "u" thus it could be spelled Mueller 
146     Surname may have an umlaut over the "u" thus Rühler or Ruehler, 
        and the second digit of the age is obliterated or overwritten.
149     Given name may be either Hille or Hine but it is unclear.
