Transcriber's Notes:
1. First page has "No Deaths" written on right-hand side of manifest
2. Transcriber calculates 100 passengers (not including captain). There are
3 infants and 14 children 1-8 years, which is somewhat noted by the
following manifest notes as seen by transcriber:
83 Passengers Adult w children
7 for 14 children of 1-8 years old
3 Infants
Inf 3
und 8-11 5 1/2
Note: the 3 infants have an X rather than a passenger number on original
manifest
3. Destination for all passengers omitted and not entered on manifest; assumed
to be United States
4. OCCUPATION is omitted as separate column. Transcription appears to be,
as follows:
Passenger #1 has "Cordonnier" listed as occupation (probably one who works
with leather), while all other passengers are listed as "Fermier" and
"Fermiere" (French for farmer).
5. ACCOMODATION is omitted as separate column. Transcription appears to be,
as follows:
Passengers 1-34 are listed as in "2nd Cabin"
Passengers 35-79 are listed as in "M deck" (could be main deck) or
"bt deck" for between deck
Passengers 80-100 are listed as "between deck"
Entries are written only on first line of a page with squiggly line drawn
down column.
6. Originating countries Suisse and Baverie appear to be written in French.
Translation would be Switzerland and Baveria, respectively.
Passenger Notes:
# 9 - "United States" written in French as "Estats unis"
#11 - Looks like age is written as 1 1/2
#13 - "United States" written in French as "Estats unis"
#26 - Looks like age is written as 18 1/2
#28 - Given name most likely Anne Marie
#35 - Looks like age is written as 17 1/2
