Transcriber's notes:

* An asterisk indicates an error on the part of the
original recorder, not the transcriber, or is used
to call your attention to additional information in
   the Transcriber's notes below.

? The use of a ? indicates letters or words that cannot
be read due to the quality of the original document.

* The column for remarks was eliminated because there
were only 2 entries in this column. This included
passengers 36 and 84 and the notations are explained
   below.

* Ditto marks were used freely throughout the mainfest
except in the Baggage column in which the notation
   "do" was used.

* Bracketts were used in the Baggage column which I
believe indicates families or groups of people to
whom the baggage belonged. The transcriber noted the
bracketed entry in the row with the first passenger
but not the others included in the bracket. In the
case where there was no entry and no bracket, the
   transcriber entered "(unlisted)".

* Many words seem to have been spelled phonetically and
incorrectly. The transcriber has noted the first
instance of each but not subsequent entries in order
   to keep transcriber's notes concise.

* At the top of the manifest is the following "Note
?????(illegible) Nov 11th- ??? (illegible but does not
appear to be numbers). This may be related to the
discrepancy between the date on the front of the
manifest and the date noted within the mainfest itself.

* Second paragraph of the sworn statement- The first ? is
a small curve like a very small "c". It could be the
lower part of an upper case letter as there is a small
area of the manifest where the writing cannot be seen.
The second letter is a tall letter, possibly a "t", the
third is a tall letter that looks like "b".

* Third paragraph of the sworn statement- burthen 2?75
tons- the 2 is connected by a vertical line to the 7,
it could be a 1 or no number at all.

Passengers #1,2 - Wiedema??- The first ? is a letter that extends
below the line, possibly "y" or "g". The second is a small
letter or two. Note misspelling of New yorck (york) and
      Tronck (trunk).
Passenger # 3 - Michel Schmidt- There is a smudge on the upper
part of the second number in the age. A small circle is
visible which leads one to believe the number is 6, 8,
or 0. In the place name the first ? is a capital letter,
the second a small letter and the third a tall letter
      that could be a "t".
Passenger # 4-5 - Schmidt- same as above for place name.
Passenger # 6 - George Hausmann- The upper part of the first
letter in the place name is too light to read, it could
      be "St".
Passenger # 7 - Franz Erck- The ? in the place name is a small
letter, part of it can't be seen.
Passenger # 8 - Georg Noef- The occupation Stonkutter is
      probably stonecutter.
Passenger # 9 - Adam Ande- The destination Philadelfyia is
      probably Philadelphia.
Passenger # 10-11 - Wahl and Harrer- There are 3 or 4 small
letters in the destination name. They look like some
      combination of "n", "u" and/or "s".
Passenger # 13 - Heinrech Haasbens- The occupation Boockmacker
      is probably bookmaker.
Passenger # 14-16 - Schwarzwick- The two ? in the place name
      indicate two small letters.
Passenger # 19 - Carl Piel- The ? in the age represents a
vertical line, either 7 or 1.
Passenger # 21 - Gid? Piel- The ? in the first name is a
      small letter, possibly an "o".
Passenger # 25 - Carrol?ne Hilbert- This is a small letter,
could be an "e" or "i".
Passenger # 27-28 - The occupation Black Schmid is probably
      blacksmith.
Passenger # 28 - Kath?? Wehner- There is a smudge/ fold line
on the paper which makes it difficult to determine
      what these letters are.
Passenger # 29 - Alexander Fles???h??t- The first ? letter
extends below the line like a "g" or "j", the next
two are small letters, the remaining two are also
      small letters.
Passenger # 31 - Fredericka Beckman- The destination ?
      indicates small letters, possibly "ou".
Passenger # 32 - Frederch Sanders- The first ? in the
destination indicates a small letter, the next two ?
are also small letters that look like "ie".
Passenger # 36 - Barbara Heemer- There is an "S" in the
remarks column, possibly indicating a sick passenger.
Note also incorrect spelling of what is probably
      Buffalo.
Passenger # 48 - ?aver Friedmann- The capital letter in the
first name looks like a backwards "C" with a line to
the right of it. There is a smudge on the second
number of the age, the top has a circle, my best guess
is a 9. The first ? in the place name looks like a "B"
or "R", the next ?s indicate small letters that look
like some combination of "u", "s", and "e". The next ?
extends below the line like a "j" or "f", the next is a
      small letter.
Passenger # 53 - Freder??h Scheidemann- These are smudged
      letters, probably "ic".
Passenger # 54 - Christin? Scheidemann- This is a small letter,
      probably an "a' or "e".
Passenger # 57 - ?h?re?ia Scheidemann- The first ? looks like a
"J" but doesn't extend below the line, the second looks
like an "i" or "e", the third looks like "s".
Passenger # 60 - Heinrich Heidema??- These are letters that are
very small and squeezed in, my best guess is "nn".
Passenger # 65 - Eli? Sommermann- This letter extends below the
      line like a "z" or "g".
Passenger # 84 - Johann Hober- There is a notation in the
remarks column that states "sick passenger".
Passenger # 85 - Dider??? Dorbaum- The first two ? are small
letters and the last is a tall letter.
Passenger # 85-86 - Dorbaum- The ? in the occupation is either a
      "u" or "ee".
Passenger # 88-92 - Christ- The ? in the place name looks like
      either an "i" or "e".
Passenger # 89 - Lo?iss Christ- This is a small letter that
      looks like a "u" or "a".
Passenger # 94 - Johann Niesneye?- This is a small letter that
could be an "n" or "r".
Passenger # 95-97 - The ? in the occupation for these three
passengers is a scribble, could be one letter or two.
Passenger #100 - Eli? Schmidt- This letter extends below the
      line like a "j" or "z".
Passenger #102-108 - The ? in the occupation for these
passengers is a small letter like an "r" or "s".
Passenger #106-107 - The first letter in the place name could
be a "F", then there are one or two small letters that
look like "w", they could be "ur". There are one or two
letters at the end, they are too light to see.
Passenger #106 - ??erch? Sommermann- There is a smudge on the
paper. The first letter could be "M", there are one or
two small letters next. There are two pen strokes at
      the end.
