The use of an asterisk "*" indicates comments noted below by the transcriber 
to explain details about the specific passenger and to note an omission or an
error made by the original recorder.  

The use of a question mark "?" indicates a word or letters that could not be 
read due to the quality of the original document.

 2: The recorder left the occupation column blank for this passenger.
 5: The recorder left the occupation column blank for this passenger.
 7: The recorder left the occupation column blank for this passenger.
13: The "o" in Lohn makes use of an Umlaut.
16,17 & 18: The recorder left the occupation column blank for these passengers.
19: His occupation is transcribed as noted on the manifest, Tailer.
23: The recorder left the occupation column blank for this passenger.
24: This is an unusual way to list a passenger, apparently the recorder meant 
    Landorf Meyers' wife. However, Meyers' was not in the possessive case on 
    the manifest. The occupation column is blank indicating that the passenger
    was Mrs. Meyers and not Mr. & Mrs. Meyers. The recorder didn't list 
    occupations for female passengers.  The city/town from which Mrs. Meyers 
    hails is clearly written "G. Laffende" on the manifest. What the capital
    "G" stands for remains unknown after a lengthy search.
25, 26 & 27: These passengers all hail from the same city/town. As with 
    passenger # 24, the first name of this city/town is abbreviated with a 
    capital "G" period, space then the second name is spelled out. It begins 
    with "Sch" but the last seven or eight letters are illegible due to the 
    recorder's penmanship. What the capital "G" stands for remains unknown 
    after a lengthy search.
31: The third letter of his last name can't be deciphered due to the penmanship 
    on the original document.
36: The city/town from which he hails is written with an apparent abbreviation 
    for the first word in the name, with the second name being spelled out. 
    The forth and fifth letters of the second name are illegible due to the 
    recorder's penmanship. The meaning of the abbreviation remains unknown 
    after a lengthy search.
37: His last name is illegible due to the recorders penmanship.
38: The recorder left the occupation column blank for this passenger. In 
    addition, her last name is illegible due to the recorders penmanship.
39: This entire line is obscured due to the condition of the original document.
42: The recorder left the occupation column blank for this lady. 
43: The recorder left the occupation column blank for this lady. In addition,
    the last name can't be deciphered due to the penmanship on the original 
     document.
44: The recorder left the occupation column blank for this lady. In addition, 
    the last name can't be deciphered due to the penmanship on the original 
    document.
45: The recorder left the occupation column blank for this passenger.
