Transcriber's notes:
* An asterisk indicates an explanation or suggestion about what the
transcriber sees, but may not be able to determine with certainty.
? A question mark indicates letters that cannot be deciphered because of the
condition of the original copy or other conditions.
* Spelling of place names and occupations have been transcribed as found in
the original.
* There was no column indicating gender and the passengers have been
renumbered by the transcriber of this list. The original did not number the
babies under one year of age called "Säugling" or suckling (child).
* The captain's name appears on the sworn statement and at the close of the
list. The surname is almost indecipherable on the sworn statement and at the
end of the list. Is seems to be something like . . .rnau.
NOTE: Correspondence 06/12/2004 Captain's name: Johann Hinrich Thiernau

von Weser und Lesum und ihrer Bauwerften von 1770 bis 1893"

Correspondence 5/16/2003 passengers #55-59 LINSTEDT
John Linstedt was born in Stettin, Germany (Prussia) on Sept. 9, 1936 and
married Augusta Kuckhahn (Kukahn). John's parents were John Linstedt and
Fredericka Falk.
They settled in Milwaukee, WI. John Linstedt filed his
naturalization papers in 1880. Later born in Milwaukee, WI, Ida was born
Nov 3, 1868, William was born May 12, 1894, Augusta was born 1871 and
Minnie was born in 1872.
John died Nov. 22, 1910 of Lobar Pneumonia and was buried in Forest home
Cemetery. The last name on the headstone is spelled Linstaedt, which I am
told is the American spelling of a German name. Wife Augusta was also
buried in Forest Home Cemetery upon her death May 28, 1974.
