Transcriber's Notes:

*  Asterisks indicate transcriber's notes.

? Question marks indicate illegible letters

* The occupation of all passengers was listed as Farmer, their origin and
destination as Germany and United States, so these columns have been
   eliminated.

* Passenger numbers were added by the transcriber for reference.

* The Quarterly Abstracts are error prone and do not include all details
recorded on the original ship manifests, but the individual list for this
voyage could not be found on NARA Film M259, Roll 21 and is apparently lost,
not filmed, or filmed in the wrong time period.

* On the actual abstract, "Barque Iris / Geo. N. Lamb / Brement" appears to
left of passenger #1 and the first passenger on next two pages, Bremen with
   an added T each time.

Personal Notes:

These neighboring families from Hanover joined a pioneer German settlement in
the Cole Camp area of northeast Benton County, Missouri and adjoining Morgan
and Pettis Counties (see German Immigrants):

 1 - 5
John Henry & Gesche Blohm from Altenbülstedt, Hanover with son-in-law and
daughter Henry & Becke (Blohm) Gehlken from Westertimke, Hanover. The Blohm's
joined another daughter's family, David and Tibke (Blohm) Holtzen, in the Lake
Creek area of northeast Benton County, where John H. died 1866, Gesche 1873.
The Gehlken's settled in northwest Morgan County, where six more children were
born. Henry died there 1870, Becke after 1880. #4 John Henry Gehlken married
Louisa Wittrock of Morgan County in 1862, died 1920.

 6
Frederick Wahlers from Steinfeld, Hanover. Married widow Gesche (Blohm) Kueck
in Morgan County 1845, and died there 1884.

 7 - 9
John Joachim Kruse family from Horstedt, Hanover. They settled in Morgan
County, where John Joachim died 1866. #9 John Henry Kruse married Annette
Windler in 1847, moved to Smithton, Missouri 1860s.

10 - 14
John Henry and Gesche (Kruse) Luetjen family. Settled in Haw Creek area of
Morgan County. Gesche is believed to have been a daughter of #7 John Joachim
Kruse. #12 Jacob should be Joseph, probably misread when the abstract was made.
Joseph Henry Luetjen married Juliane Hirschvogel in Morgan Co. 1858, and died
1907 in Smithton, Mo. #13 John Joseph Luetjen married Mette
Wahlers of Morgan County 1858, but Mette died in 1862, and he married her
sister Rebecca Wahlers in 1863. John J. died 1905, Rebecca 1920. #14 John
Diedrich Luetjen died in Morgan County 1847.

18 - 27
Peter & Adelheid (Koencken) Kahrs and Cord & Margaret (Ficken) Kahrs from
Altenbülstedt, Hanover with families of Cord's sons John and Herman. All
settled in the Lake Creek area of southeast Pettis County, Missouri where
Peter's sons Cord and Louis had established residence earlier. Cord died
there before 1850, Peter & Adelheid and Margaret before 1860. John's wife
Gesche died 1853, and he married Maria Ringen. Herman's family moved to
Sedalia, Missouri in 1870s.
