Transcriber's Notes:
* An asterisk indicates further information in these footnotes.
? A question mark indicates material which was indecipherable.
* A note at the end of the list says: Zero Berths (zero births?)
* The country of which they intend to become inhabitants has been omitted in
this list because it is the United States for all of the passengers. There
was no column indcating destination.
Passenger Notes:
# 12-#15 - Surname may be Tafauta or Tafanta.
# 17 - Surname has an umlaut over the "o" so may be spelled klingerhoefer.
# 19 - The 4th letter of the surname is unclear--may be "u" or "n" so name
could be Jaguemin or Jagnemin.
# 33 - Surname looks like it could be Steinmann.
# 52-#58 - Surname is difficult to decipher--looks like Olteselmayer or
Olwelmayer.
# 76-#80 - Surname may be either Kick or Kiek.
# 90 - Surname seems to have an umlaut over the "o" so it may be spelled Baer.
#117-#119 - Last letter of surname is unclear--name may be Scharf or Schart.
#121 - Surname has a slash through the second "o" so it is: Holstrøm.

Below are related passengers on the Bark Industrie,
October 31, 1871. I do not have a home page but
included my email address. I would appreciate if you
could attach the following to the ISTG file for this
ship and immigration date. Thank you.

23. Helene Gerdes and family settled in Cincinnati,
Ohio. Helene Gerdes had a daughter, Wilhelmina born
November 9, 1837. She married Johann Otto Kellerman,
October 14, 1866 in Holy Trinity Church, Cincinnati,
Ohio. I'm looking for her immigration date. She came
from Germany specifically to marry Johann. They
married 7 weeks after the death of his first wife.
24. Arnhold Gerdes was not married on the 1880 census
and seems to disappear.
25. Ilena (Helena) married Gerhard Wieghaus, June 13,
1872 in St. Anthony Church, Cincinnati, Ohio. They had
a son, Fred born 1873.
26. Maria married Ferdinand Fangmann, November 7,
1876 in St. Anthony Church, Cincinnati, Ohio. They
had four children. I only know of three, Ben (1884),
John (1888), and Alice (1895).
27. Augusta was Ilena’s daughter born in Germany. She
married Henry Frendenberg and had 13 children. I,
only, know of 12: Louisa, Henry, George, Henrietta,
August, Otto, Johanna, Detrich, Maria, Bernard, Frank,
and Margaret.
28. Bernhard Deken was Helen Gerdes son-in-law married
to her daughter Louise. Besides Heinrich Deken they
had a daughter Maria. Maria married Henry Imwalle,
Jr. This couple had no children.
Besides the immigration for Wilhemine, I'm looking for
her father, Bernard Gerdes, and any other siblings.
On the 1920 census it is listed Maria Gerdes came from
Goldenstedt, Oldenburg, Germany.
