LIST OR MANIFEST OF ALIEN IMMIGRANTS FOR THE COMMISSIONER OF IMMIGRATION.
Required by the regulations of the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, under Act of Congress, approved March 3, 1893, to be delivered to the Commissioner of Immigration by the Commanding Officer of any vessel having such passengers on board upon arrival at a port in the United States.
S.S. Gaelic, sailing from Yokohama June 29th, 1895 arriving at Port of San Francisco, July 12, 1895.

There is no captain's statement nor captain's name attached to this manifest.
In the Married or Single column heading "or Single" has been crossed out.
The following columns had identical entries for all passengers and so were not
included in the table:

 Nationality=Japanese
 Seaport for Landing in the US=San Francisco  
 By whom was passage paid?=self
 Whether ever in Prison, Almshouse or supported by Charity=no
 Whether a Polygamist=no
 Whether under contract to labor in the US=no
 Condition of Health Mental and Physical=good
 Whether having any deformities=no 
Letters that are illegible or difficult to interpret are replaced by ?.  The 
 right edge of the manifest is folded or slipped under another paper so that 
 the initial letters of several names are obscured. (1-5, 11)

Passenger Notes:
5  has been to San Francisco March, 1895.
6  first name is Herzo or Huzo.
9  has been to San Francisco 3 times.
12 is going to join husband Kameta Tozo 824 Sacramento St. San Francisco.  It 
   would appear, therefore, that her first and last names are reversed on the
   list.
14 surname is Tagedu, Tagedei, or Tagedii.
16 has been to San Francisco 1892.
