DISTRICT OF BOSTON AND CHARLESTOWN - PORT OF BOSTON
I, S. Harding Master of the Eugene Hale do solemnly, sincerely, and truly Swear that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me and now delivered by me to the Collector of the Customs of the Port of Boston, is a full and perfect list of all the passengers taken on board the said vessel at Suriname from which port said vessel has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age, sex, calling, country of citizenship, native country, intended destination or location, number of pieces of baggage, location of compartment or space occupied, and date and cause of death of passengers, as required by the "Passenger Act of 1882"; also a true statement, so far as it can be ascertained, with reference to the intention of each alien passenger as to a protracted sojourn in this country. So help me God. S Harding Master.
Sworn to this Augt 13th 1890, before me, (unsigned) (unable to read signature) Collector.
List of Manifest of All THE Passengers taken on board the Eugene Hale whereof S Harding is Master, from Suriname burthen 421 tons.
Columns represent: Names, Age (in years and mths*), Sex, Calling, The Country of which they are Citizens, Native country, Intended Destination or Location, No. of pieces of baggage*, Location of compartment or space occupied. (Specify whether forward, amid-ships or aft.), Date and Cause of Death*, and Whether Visitors only, or intending to be permanent settlers.

Transcriber's Notes:
*  The use of an * indicates an omission or error made by the
   original recorder or is difficult to read.

?  Indicates a letter or number which could not be determined due
   to the condition of the manifest or handwriting of the original
   recorder.

*  There was nothing written for age in mths or No. of pieces of 
   luggage so these columns were eliminated.  There were no deaths
   so the column was eliminated also.

Passenger #1 - Surname was the only name written.
