J and I look exactly alike. When I could not determine from the rest
of the name what the first letter was, I have noted this below.

He has ditto marks for his last name, but it appears that the
person before him is missing because of the crease, so I don't
think his last name is Belitz. Also, since Anna is 6 months old
and Joh is 8 months old, it seems impossible that they were in
the same family.

Fred Scheibe and Fredericka Steinhhaus, lived in Wartenstein, Prussia
in the early 1800's and had at least 3 sons:
John Frederick William Scheibe (called William) was born 19 July 1831
Julius Scheibe was born 28 Oct. 28, 1841
George Frederick Scheibe (called Frederick & Great-Grand Father of
John Harris) was born on 4-17-1845
Augusta Louise Marie Giese was born 2 February 1832 in Ruhnow, Prussia
Father: Michael Geise Mother: Anna Sophia Wallae Geise
Giese, Geise, Gease
William married Augusta and they had three children in Wartenstein:
Carl Scheibe was born ~1853
August Scheibe was born ~1857
Bertha Scheibe was born ~1855
William (age 29), his wife, Augusta Louise Marie Giese (age 28), their 3
children, and his two younger brothers, Julius (age 21) and Frederick (age
15) are onboard this ship.
They farmed in the county of Walworth County on the southern border of
Wisconsin(close to Milwaukee & Chicago).
Both Julius & Frederick fought with the Union during the U.S. Civil war.
Frederick married Amelia Pauline Woiwud1 in Wisconsin, moved to Missouri
about 1880(Frederick had spent time in Missouri during the Civil War and
liked it.)
Amelia Pauline Woiwud1 was born 6 September 1844 in Klausdorf, Prussia.
Julius married Dora Louise A. Pagel (From Magdeburg, Germany)
Father: Christian Pagel Mother: Frederica Born: 3 October 1849
